It looked like something straight out of Battlestar Galactica. Bujumbura is the capital of Burundi which is just southwest of Rwanda. Looking out the window during landing showcased a landscape much greener than I had expected. I guess if I studied my Sigourney Weaver monkey movies better, I would have known sub-Saharan Africa is quite tropical.
