GAMBIA ARE AFRICA U-17 WINNERS

Gambia have won the African Under-17 Championship.
The Baby Scorpions beat hosts Algeria 3-1 in the final on Thursday.
Gambia took the lead with a diving header early in the first half.
At half-time the Gambia had doubled their tally, but Algeria had claimed a goal back through a penalty to make it 2-1.
In the second half Gambia extended their lead and claimed the title 3-1.
Ebrima Bojang scored twice for Gambia and their other goal came from Alasana Camara.
It is the second time they have won the tournament, after they triumphed at home in 2005 the team then went on to the Under-17 World Cup and beat Brazil.
Gambia and Algeria, plus beaten semi-finalists Burkina Faso and Malawi, have all qualified for this year's global event, to be hosted in Nigeria.
