	Sidamo was a province in the southern part of Ethiopia, with its capital city at Irgalem, and later at Awassa. With the adoption of the constitution in 1995, Sidamo was divided amongst the Southern Peoples, Oromia regions of Ethiopia. Sidama is also an ethnic grouping native to Ethiopia
