The stadium is just 8 kilometers from the main city Johannesburg and is considered as the flagship venue for the Football World Cup 2010 as the most awaited matches the opening match and the final will be played on this very ground. ELLIS PARK STADIUM
This is also one of the major venues in Johannesburg situated in Bertrams and will be hosting the semifinal match of the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Ellis Park has undergone major changes for the FIFA Soccer World Cup. The West, South and North Stands have been revamped and a new roof has also been added. The stadium was inaugurated way back in 1928 and has a seating capacity of 59,611.

ROYAL BAFOKENG SPORTS PALACE
This stadium will be hosting first and second round matches for the Soccer World Cup 2010. It is situated in the North West Province of Johannesburg known as Rustenburg just about 170 Kilometers from the main city. Minor renovations have been made to meet the requirements of the event. The seating capacity has been increased to 42,000.
