Twister

A "twister", or tornado, is a meteorological phenomenon characterized by a rapidly rotating column of air that extends from a storm cloud to the ground. This column of air is visible due to the condensed water vapor or dust that is sucked into the center, creating a funnel-like appearance. Tornadoes can vary in size and intensity, ranging from small and relatively weak to large and extremely destructive.

Tornadoes are formed under specific atmospheric conditions, usually during severe storms, when there is a combination of warm, moist air near the ground and cold air at higher altitudes. This combination creates atmospheric instability and can lead to the formation of supercells, which are long-lasting storms with a high potential for producing tornadoes.

Tornadoes are known for their ability to cause significant damage, destroying homes, trees, and other structures in their path. They can also pose serious risks to human life, especially if there is not enough time for residents to seek shelter properly.

In areas prone to tornadoes, such as the famous "Tornado Alley" in the United States, people are advised to stay alert to weather conditions and have an emergency plan in place to protect themselves in case of a tornado.
